US Club Soccer staffing updates to member services, programs, education & marketing departments
CHARLESTON, S.C. (Sept. 28, 2023) – US Club Soccer is proud to announce a handful of staffing updates as the organization welcomes new teammates and expands existing departments aimed at improving the member experience.
John Borozzi, who started with US Club Soccer in 2004, has been elevated to Sr. Vice President of Member Services. John will continue to oversee the member services team, which focuses on strategic membership growth, as well as scaling programs and resources through leagues, clubs and families.
Leo Garcia has transitioned to Vice President of General Managers, officially joining the Member Services Department and receiving guidance from John. The Regional General Managers now report to him. Leo, who started as an intern with US Club Soccer in the early 2000s, and John together have more than 40 years of experience with the company. Leo also continues in his NPL General Manager position.
Brynn McDonald is shifting from the Marketing & Communications team to Member Services as the newest Regional General Manager. Brynn also got her start with US Club Soccer as an intern, working with the communications team from Oct. 2019-June 2020, before being hired full-time two years later.
Elizabeth Heard enters as the new Sr. Coordinator of Marketing & Communications. Elizabeth previously worked in the organization’s communications department from April 2020-June 2021, and now she returns after gaining experience elsewhere in operations, administration and marketing.
Abby Soderholm has transitioned to the Programs & Partnerships team as the Sr. Coordinator of Programs & Events. She will coordinate projects within the department, including US Club Soccer’s presence at the upcoming United Soccer Coaches Convention. Abby started with the organization in January 2022.
Rachel Bernard joined the team last month as Sr. Coordinator of Education & Development. Rachel, formerly San Juan Soccer Club’s Youth Coordinator and head coach of two teams, is assisting with coach education offerings, as US Club Soccer makes them more robust and accessible.
