Registration measures implemented due to GotSport system-wide issue (UPDATE)

DATE: Feb 17, 2023

TO: US Club Soccer member organization staff, competition staff, referees and related personnel

FROM: US Club Soccer

In order to accommodate members during a system-wide outage with GotSport (UPDATE – Feb. 27: GotSport has been restored; please reference this Member Update), US Club Soccer’s registration provider, the following measures are implemented, effectively immediately:

PLAYER REGISTRATION:

Players who are not registered with US Club Soccer will be retroactively insured and considered approved as of the first date of competition if the US Club Soccer player registration process in GotSport is complete no later than five days after the end of the GotSport outage.

STAFF REGISTRATION:

Staff and other non-player Adult Participants for whom a US Club Soccer staff registration/passcard is not able to be purchased or produced are eligible to participate in activities within US Club Soccer’s jurisdiction if all of the following conditions are met:

  1. US Club Soccer’s background screening has been approved on or after July 1, 2022.
Proof of completion is available via the email confirmation received when approved, or via JDP, US Club Soccer’s background screening provider.
  2. SafeSport Core or Refresher Training has been completed on or after July 1, 2022.
Proof of completion may be obtained by participants via their SafeSportTrained.org and U.S. Soccer Learning Center accounts.
  3. The person does not appear on the U.S. Center for SafeSport’s Centralized Disciplinary Database or U.S. Soccer’s List of Disciplined, Suspended or Ineligible Individuals.

These individuals will be retroactively insured and considered approved as of Feb 16, 2023 if a US Club Soccer staff registration is purchased in GotSport no later than five days after the end of the GotSport outage, and the conditions outlined above were met.

OFFICIAL ROSTERS, PASSCARDS AND RELATED DOCUMENTATION:

We ask that competition staff, referees and related personnel be flexible regarding the documentation accepted for US Club Soccer rosters and passcards, to include acceptance of hand-written additions to existing rosters, or entirely separate temporary roster formats.

We are in regular contact with GotSport staff and will share relevant updates here when available. GotSport is also posting updates at https://system.gotsport.com/.

Thanks for your time, understanding and patience with this issue.
