National Cup XXI Northwest Regional awards 10 championships and offers path to National Cup XXI Finals
SNOHOMISH, Wash. (June 29, 2022) – The National Cup XXI Northwest Regional awarded 10 champions after four days of competition at Stocker Fields in Snohomish, Washington. The tournament consisted of nearly 50 teams from Colorado, Idaho, Northern California, Southern California, Utah and Washington competing in U-13 through U-19 boys and girls divisions.
These 10 teams, representing seven clubs, earn qualification to the National Cup XXI Finals, to be held July 14-21 at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park in Denver, Colorado.

Mt. Rainier FC performed particularly well, winning three age groups across the tournament field. Wenatchee FC was the only other club to win more than one division, as it earned a pair of championships on the boys side of the brackets.
A few teams and divisions stood out, in particular. In the U-16 boys age group, Laguna United FC allowed only one goal in three games to leave no doubt. In the U-14 girls division, Colorado Elevation FC ’08 Summit and South Tacoma United SC Evolution ’08 both had three wins and plus-11 goal differential margins heading into the division final. Colorado Elevation FC ultimately prevailed in a high-scoring match, 6-2.
The U-16 girls division was tightly contested with four teams finishing within two points of each other at the end of the group stage. League 30 Metasport FC ’06 edged PacNW ’06 Maroon in the final, 1-0.
With the National Cup XXI Mid-Atlantic Regional concluding Tuesday afternoon in New Jersey, all National Cup XXI Regionals have been completed. Now, US Club Soccer’s cup-based championship series shifts to the ultimate destination: the National Cup XXI Finals. Qualifiers from all six Regionals and various qualifying state cups will compete for championships.
