La Grange Celtics First XI led the way qualifying two NISL girls teams for the 2022 NPL Finals in the U-15 and U-16 age groups. Elite S.C. U-17 NPL earned the NISL’s U-17 spot, while Pegasus FC Premier NPL qualified for the U-18/19 place. NPL Finals qualifiers for the final two age groups in girls play (U-13 and U-14) and boys U-13 through U-18/19 competition will be determined following the spring season.

“We are very excited to be a part of NPL Finals,” said Brian Kapusta, La Grange Celtics coach. “This is only the second time (’06 last year) and team (’06 and ’07s) that we have qualified as a club. The energy and excitement from the girls, parents and club are through the roof. We survived a very competitive league season to earn the qualification and aim to represent our region in the best way. I would like to thank our families for their commitment and dedication.”

The 2022 NPL Girls postseason structure has qualifying teams from the U-13 through U-18/19 age brackets participating in a single-stage postseason event, the NPL Girls Finals, where qualifiers from member NPLs throughout the country will compete for the national title.
