Gentile Named New England Impact NPL President

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Heading into the the 2021-22 season, Dr. Dina Gentile has been named the President of the New England Impact NPL.

During the league’s inaugural season serving in the role as Director of College Events and Programming, Dr. Dina Gentile created enriching programs on and off the field that highlighted IMPACT’s ideals of pride, empowerment, legacy building and inspirational change. In her new role, Dina will work closely with our member clubs, Impact players, and industry leaders to continue to elevate our league and set a new standard for elite women’s soccer.

Dina believes, “Impact is setting the tone for a soccer vision that is player centered and league focused. Impact epitomizes what it means to be a change agent and transformational in the lives of players both on and off the field. I am honored to be able to give my full attention to the needs of players who are navigating their academic and athletic pathways. Our virtual meetings over the spring season inspired a group of female athletes who in turn make differences on their teams and in their communities. Impact is a model league capturing competitive high level soccer on the field with programs to expose female athletes to all of the possibilities of who they can be not only as players, but as students and community advocates. Impact is much more than a league, we are soccer game changers!”

Mike Kersker of Aztec Soccer Club, was instrumental in the launch of Impact. As he reflected on moving into year two of the IMPACT league’s existence. He expressed, “it’s an honor to turn this position over to Dina Gentile. I know she will not only continue passionately and responsibly, but will take her extensive experience, professionalism and distinct personality and look to provide only the best for our players, families and all other stakeholders, as we look to provide the best holistic experience for these players’ lives; both as soccer players and ambassadors for our game”.
