Q: Why did Albion Hurricanes FC apply for Players First licensing?

Steve Firth, Technical Director:  As a club we felt it was important that we were hitting and exceeding all the standards set by US Club Soccer.  This license was a good way to go through our processes and make sure everything was up to date so that we remain a leader in our area. 

Q: What does it mean for Albion Hurricanes FC to now be an official Players First-licensed club?

Firth: It means a lot to us. It was important that people know we strive to not only develop players in a safe environment, but we also meet the high standards set by the license on areas such as coach and parent education, club development and health and safety. 

Q: What makes Players First licensing different from other initiatives or programs your club has participated in?

Firth: It’s a nationwide recognition of what our club is doing and the application and approval is a lot more rigorous than many other programs. 

Q: What would you like the parents of Albion Hurricanes FC to know about what this means to them?

Firth:  We want our AHFC family to know that we not only strive to develop our players but we are constantly looking to the future and how to stay ahead of the game. We continue to develop new facilities such as the turf at CRSP, we are working on relationships with other groups to offer high quality services to all our members and we work hard behind the scenes every day to improve our curriculum, player development and staff development to keep up with the ever-changing environment.  AHFC has always planned ahead for the long term and we have never been afraid to step out and lead the way in our area both on and off the field. We will continue to do this and our Players First license is a step in the right direction. #ahfcpride
