Q: Why did Almaden FC first apply for Players First licensing?

Tom Brough, Executive Director/General Manager: At Almaden FC, we have been committed to creating a holistic player development environment for a significant period of time. Having the recognition of the Players First license allows us to demonstrate to our families and wider community that we have been officially recognized for our investments in player development.

Q: What does it mean for Almaden FC to now be an official Players First-licensed club?

Brough: We are extremely proud to be recognized as one of the leaders in youth development in the country. We intend to continue improving further to support all of our players to develop as soccer players and contributing citizens to our community.

Q: What makes Players First licensing different from other initiatives or programs your club has participated in?

Brough: The Players First license is focused not only on what we do on the field but also on how we create environments for all of our players. We believe the Players First license promotes the values that we support at Almaden FC.

Q: What would you like the parents of Almaden FC to know about what this means to them?

Brough: The license is recognition of the work that has already been done. Almaden FC is committed to creating the best environment for all players. The club will continue to invest resources to support our players in many ways.
