US Club Soccer to host five U.S. Soccer C courses in 2021

In a further expansion of its educational opportunities for coaches, US Club Soccer has been approved to host five U.S. Soccer C courses in 2021.

US Club Soccer has hosted more than 250 grassroots courses since 2018 and will co-host these upcoming C courses with member organizations in various regions:

  • March 8 – July 18: Plymouth, MN
    • Co-hosted by Twin Cities Soccer Leagues
  • April 12 – August 26: Davis, CA
    • Co-hosted by NorCal Premier Soccer
  • May 13 – September 5: Farmington, CT
  • July 5 – November 18: Northern California
    • Co-hosted by NorCal Premier Soccer
  • July 20 – December 6: Wayne, PA

The C course focuses on the core concepts of coaching, and registered candidates have weekly educational opportunities via a blend of online independent learning modules and live virtual meetings led by a licensed U.S. Soccer instructor. Registration for the courses will be available on the U.S. Soccer Learning Center.

“The ability to host five U.S. Soccer C courses in 2021 is a monumental achievement for our coach education initiatives,” said Ashley Lehr, Sr. Manager of Club Development & Outreach for US Club Soccer. “This further showcases our increasing impact on coaches across the country. We are strong believers in U.S. Soccer’s mission to elevate coaching to impact player environments and look forward to providing a year full of educational opportunities.”

Other US Club Soccer-hosted grassroots modules and D courses are also available throughout the year.

US Club Soccer member organizations can apply to host grassroots modules (4v4, 7v7, 9v9, 11v11) and D courses, or co-host C courses, in either a traditional or blended format. In addition to hosting courses, US Club Soccer has nominated over 65 instructors for U.S. Soccer’s Grassroots Instructor License.

US Club Soccer has also hired three Coach Licensing Technical Leads to grow and oversee its U.S. Soccer coach education programming.
