CHARLESTON, S.C. (Oct. 2, 2024) – US Club Soccer is proud to offer a new, complimentary resource for its member coaches, administrators and club and league leadership that prioritizes their mental health. Aiberry, an AI mental wellbeing navigator quickly gaining popularity in the U.S., is the latest organization to partner with US Club Soccer to offer members an easy way to check-in, identify and track symptoms of stress and burnout.
Aiberry joins a growing roster of partners supporting US Club Soccer’s education efforts, including recently announced Onrise, WeCOACH and Coaching HER, all of which contribute to a holistic development strategy. In particular, coaches and staff, whose mental health is often not acknowledged or respected openly in sports, now have complimentary support resources as a result of these partnerships.
“To me, soccer is a game of people, not Xs and Os,” said Dr. Missy Price, VP of Education & Development. “Only when we reach people on a personal level with care and understanding can we begin to tap into their full potential. Coaches are naturally selfless, often giving more of themselves than what is sustainable. Support resources, like Aiberry, go a long way for the health of our coaches.
“Aiberry is the next generation of coaching and leadership development. Being the best coach and leader is directly linked to taking care of yourself. The pressures and time demands of working in sport are often considered ‘the grind’ or part of the job. We believe in changing this culture. It’s time to invest in the well-being of the adults who shape the spaces for our kids to play.”
Aiberry’s clinically validated, HIPAA-compliant platform allows users to check in via a brief chat with a virtual assistant, accessible anytime and anywhere using just a mobile device. After completing the check-in, users receive an instant assessment score along with personalized insights into their stress and burnout levels. The platform also enables users to track their mental health progress over time and connect with additional resources offered by US Club Soccer or other trusted sources.
Aiberry is currently trusted by organizations nationwide to provide users with data and resources to support their mental health. US Club Soccer will be able to view aggregated results – never individual, personal data – to inform future initiatives and reports that shed light on the mental health challenges faced by coaches, administrators and leaders.
