US Club Soccer hires Price, Ganzberg to enhance educational resources for members
CHARLESTON, S.C. (Feb. 6, 2023) – US Club Soccer is proud to welcome Dr. Missy Price as its new Vice President of Education and Development and Vince Ganzberg as its new Director of Coach Education. Both bring decades of valuable experience that will benefit members on and off the field and is part of an overall plan to increase minimum coaching and league standards.
These additions invigorate an already robust coach education platform that hosts more than 300 U.S. Soccer coaching courses every year, has implemented a U.S. Soccer Innovate to Grow Fund program for aspiring coaches in California and has built the popular LaLiga Formation Methodology series. Price and Ganzberg are tasked with bringing strategic vision to US Club Soccer’s education efforts, as well as scaling league and club development initiatives that improve the youth soccer experience holistically, including Diversity, Equity and Inclusion best practices.
“The experience that these two bring to US Club Soccer speaks for itself,” said Mike Cullina, CEO of US Club Soccer. “Beyond the knowledge and expertise they possess, Missy and Vince are also empathetic, inclusive and of high character, and we strongly believe those qualities are must-haves for coaches and coach educators. Because coach education is so complementary to other aspects of the sport – like player development, participant safety, club development, parent engagement and referee development – we’re eager to see the broad impact that we can have together.
“I’d also like to commend Ashley Lehr, Director of Club Development, and Abby Soderholm, Outreach Coordinator, for their efforts in forming a firm foundation for our coach education department. They, and our Coach Licensing Technical Leads, laid the groundwork for this expansion and collectively have provided tremendous value and opportunities for our members.”
US Club Soccer’s coach education platform provides greater accessibility of educational resources, more diverse development opportunities, broader support for member coaches that includes their personal wellness, and a depth of education that combines technical abilities with empathetic behaviors.
