US Club Soccer member organization administrators,

As a reminder, because SafeSport training is an annual requirement, all individuals with a 2019-21 US Club Soccer staff membership/registration who have not completed SafeSport training on or after June 1, 2020, are ineligible (as of August 1, 2020).

For US Club Soccer registration purposes, SafeSport training …

• … completed prior to June 1, 2020, expired July 31, 2020.
• … completed on or after June 1, 2020, is valid through July 31, 2021.

All impacted individuals have been sent several automated emails throughout June and July with the link to complete or sync training to US Club Soccer’s National Registration System (NRS), powered by SportsEngine. However, we know some of them have not yet completed this step.

How to complete or sync SafeSport training for US Club Soccer registration purposes:

1. Access the link contained in the automated SafeSport or outstanding eligibility requirement reminder emails; or
2. Even if the reminder emails aren’t accessible, links to complete outstanding requirements are available via one’s MySE dashboard, once the invitation to join the applicable US Club Soccer member organization is accepted. Here are instructions: https://help.sportsengine.com/en/articles/1254.

When clicking on the applicable link to complete the SafeSport eligibility requirement, one will be prompted to either complete the next training or enter a SafeSport certificate number to sync a completed training using the new SafeSport Lookup functionality.

Please note that each training must be completed or synced sequentially (Core → Refresher 1 → Refresher 2), and one will be prompted to take or sync the next training based on the information currently on file within the NRS. Additionally, because a Refresher 3 course is not yet fully available, those who previously completed Refresher 2 will be prompted to retake it again via the NRS.

How to send additional reminder emails to affected individuals:

As an org administrator with permissions within the NRS, you may send automated eligibility reminder emails individually or en masse to those with outstanding requirements.
