This change simplifies the staff registration process and makes the annual cadence consistent with that of players. It also reduces confusion, since eligibility is determined each registration year – the result of SafeSport training being an annual requirement, and member org admins needing to add their staff to each season in the registration platform.

Member orgs will also no longer need to pre-pay for two registration years.

Separate from the fee, the timing of staff registration/eligibility requirements remain unchanged, as follows:

• SafeSport training: Required annually.
• Criminal background screening: Required every other registration year.
• Disqualification-Suspension Review: Self-certification by person being registered (once), then verified internally by US Club Soccer, and managed by US Club Soccer on an ongoing basis.
