Red River NPL qualifies boys teams to 2022 NPL Playoffs, girls teams to NPL Finals

CHARLESTON, S.C. (June 1, 2022) – The Red River NPL, in its fifth season as a member of the National Premier Leagues platform, has qualified its top boys and girls teams to this summer’s NPL postseason.

Teams emerged well tested from a regular season consisting of 16 games across fall and spring seasons. League leaders in January also earned spots to the Dallas International Girls Cup, which was held in April, providing more competition through a cup-based opportunity.

Solar Byars earned three postseason berths (U-15, U-16, U-17) on the girls side while Fever United qualified four teams (U-15, U-16,  U-17, U-18/19 to the boys NPL West Playoffs.

The six qualifying girls teams will head directly to the 2022 NPL Finals, July 7-11 at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park in Denver, CO. The U-14 through U-17 boys qualifiers will face a two-stage competition, next competing in the NPL Boys West Playoffs with ultimate aspirations of the NPL Finals. The U-13 boys will see their postseason end at NPL West Playoffs, where a champion is crowned. The U-18/19 boys division is a single-stage competition, as well, with that qualifier competing at the NPL Finals.
