Twenty-seven teams win titles at National Cup XXIII Midwest Regional

WAUKEGAN, Ill. (June 18, 2025) – Twenty-seven teams emerged as champions from a tournament field of 248 teams representing 100 clubs and spanning 11 states at the National Cup XXIII Midwest Regional, June 14-17 at Waukegan Sports Park and Libertyville Township Sports Complex in suburban Chicago. The tournament featured U-13 through U-19 boys and girls teams competing among Super Group (most competitive) and Premier Group divisions.

These champions have now earned qualification to the National Cup XXIII Finals, to be held July 18-25 at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park in Denver, Colorado. Of the 27 divisions, only three clubs won more than one bracket: Central Illinois United (U-13 Boys Premier Group, U-15 Premier Group 1), Flash Erie (U-14 Boys Premier Group 1, U-17 Boys Premier Group 2), Palatine Celtic SC (U-15 Premier Group 2, U-17 Girls Premier Group) and Minnesota Rush (U-16 Boys Super Group, U-17 Boys Super Group).

And for three clubs, they successfully defended last year’s Midwest Regional glory, winning divisions again this year: JaHbat, NOSC Blast and Minnesota Rush.
