Twenty-three teams win titles at National Cup XXII Midwest Regional

WAUKEGAN, Ill. (June 19, 2023) – Twenty-three teams emerged as champions from a tournament field of 244 teams representing 12 states at the National Cup XXII Midwest Regional, June 16-19 at Waukegan Sports Park and Libertyville Township Sports Complex in suburban Chicago. The tournament featured U-13 through U-19 boys and girls teams competing among Super Group (most competitive) and Premier Group divisions.

These champions have now earned qualification to the National Cup XXII Finals, to be held July 15-22 at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park in Denver, Colorado. Eclipse Select West won four divisions, and three clubs clinched two divisions apiece (Illinois Elite, Rush United Phenoms and Sockers FC). For Eclipse Select and Sockers FC, it was another strong performance in Chicago after winning two brackets each last year.
