2022 Western New York/Western Pennsylvania State Cup concludes with dozen champions
CHARLESTON, S.C. (June 7, 2022) – Twelve teams claimed championship titles at the Western New York/Western Pennsylvania State Cup, presented by the Great Lakes Alliance. Sanctioned by US Club Soccer, the annual tournament offers state title opportunities for competitive teams in the region.
Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Beadling SC each qualified three teams to the National Cup XXI Midwest Regional, to be held June 17-20 in Chicago. National Cup Regionals participants compete for advancement to the National Cup XXI Finals in Colorado, where cup-based championships are awarded.
US Club Soccer’s state championship competitions allow members to develop a format as they see best in their respective state, which may include multiple competition levels, a home-and-home series, team seeding, as well as flexible schedule and roster rules.
